Dr. Tran graduated Magna cum Laude from Harvard College and received his M.D. at Harvard Medical School. He completed a Medicine internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, and an Ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute.
Michael K. Tran, MD, FACS is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, and the California Association of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Tran has received numerous awards, including the Harvard Ames Award for Character and Leadership and a Monarch Healthcare Physician Recognition Award from for excellent service to patients and colleagues.
Besides patient care, Dr. Tran has also been involved in clinical research for Dry Eye and Cataract Surgery. He has also published several articles about the use of Electronic Medical Records, and designed a computer application to improve medical office efficiency.
